How to Tighten 300zx/Z32 Fuel Clamps

One of the things every 300zx/z32 owner needs to do on a regular basis is check to confirm that the fuel clamps are tight.  The plastic fuel lines will shrink in cold weather allowing gas to leak out.

The 300zx fuel system is under a fair amount of pressure when operating, and if the fuel clamps are not tight gas can leak on to the engine when running.  At a minimum it will cause your car to smell of gas.  Worst case, your car can catch fire and kill you!  That would not be good.

The task is not hard, but you need to make sure you find all of the fuel clamps.  The following video shows where all the fuel clamps are.

Be safe!  Tighten them up every fall when it starts getting cold.
