Introducing “The Wasp” my New to me Nissan 300zx/Z32

So I’ve had my 300zx for about 3 months, and I have committed.  I’m in.  I’ve named her “the Wasp” since it sounds bad, but also because she “stung me” the first day I drove her to work.  Anyway, I figured I should introduce her properly.  She is a bit of a project, and this blog will document my taking her from her current state to my dream car.

300zx Exterior
The Wasp’s body was in pretty good shape for her age.  She is an Azure Blue 300zx, non-turbo.

The Wasp 300zx As Purchased

She has had some body work done on her passenger side.

The original blue cloth interior is still in place, however the drivers side seat was fairly torn up.  I will probably redo the interior because there is just too much blue.  I’m thinking of a black and blue interior.i

The engines on these 300zx/z32’s are impressive looking.  The huge dual overhead cams and cast inlet plenums give the engine badazz look.  The Wasp hadn’t had any engine mods done to her except for a cold air dual-inlet.  I’ll be doing some engine cleaning but I don’t expect to go crazy trying to turn it into a twin-turbo, or other such things.

Welcome to the Z world. Mine’s an auto. Been driving sticks forever and decided I wanted to go automatic. Now I wish I had a 5-speed! LOL. Anyway, thanks for the note.
